Traditional Litany of Saints -was changed by the heretic Second Vatican Council !

In the late 1960s, Roman Catholic liturgical texts were changed (supposedly) according to the directives of "Sacrosanctum" Concilium, a key document of the Second Vatican Council. However, many of the changes were in direct opposition of Sacrosanctum Concilium and were more likely influenced by Modernist Churchmen, such as Hans Kung and Anibale Bugnini. !!!

The form of the litany in use prior to the Council is given in the Roman Ritual, published in a Latin-English edition in 1952. Note that the Catholic Encyclopedia article available online entirely reflects pre-Vatican II usage.

This Litany of the Saints begins with a threefold Kyrie, followed (as in the current version) by invocations of God the Father of Heaven, the Son who redeemed the world, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Trinity. The names of the saints follow:

The Virgin Mary is invoked three times, as Holy Mary, as Holy Mother of God and as Holy Virgin of Virgins; then Saints Michael; Gabriel; Raphael; all holy angels and archangels; all the holy order of blessed spirits.

Patriarchs and Prophets: beginning with Saint John the Baptist [then other names, if they are to be inserted] and always ending with Saint Joseph; all holy patriarchs and prophets.

Apostles and disciples: Peter; Paul; Andrew; James; John; Thomas; James; Philip; Bartholomew; Matthew; Simon; Thaddeus; Matthias; Barnabas; Luke; Mark; all holy apostles and evangelists; all holy disciples of the Lord; all the Holy Innocents.

Martyrs: Stephen; Laurence; Vincent; Fabian and Sebastian; John and Paul; Cosmas and Damian; Gervasius and Protasius; All holy martyrs.

Why has the Church instituted this Feast ?

1. To give praise to God in His saints and to pay to the Saints themselves the honor, which they merited by having made the promotion of the honor of God the work of their whole earthly life.
2. To impress vividly upon our minds, that we are members of that Holy Catholic Church which believes in the Communion of Saints, that is, in the communion of all true Christians, who belong to the Church Triumphant in Heaven, to the Church suffering in purgatory, or to the Church Militant upon earth; but, more particularly, to cause us earnestly to consider the communion of the Saints in Heaven with us, who are yet battling on earth.
3. To exhort us to raise our eyes and hearts especially today to Heaven, where before the throne of God is gathered the innumerable multitude of Saints of all countries, times, nationalities, and ranks of life, who have faithfully followed Christ and left us glorious examples of virtues, which we ought to imitate. We can imitate them, for the Saints too, were weak men; they fought and conquered only with the grace of God, which will not be denied to us.
4. To honor those Saints, for whom there is no special festival appointed by the Church during the year.
5. Finally, that in answer to so many intercessors God may grant us perfect reconciliation, may permit us to share in their merits, and may give us grace to enjoy with them, some day, the bliss of Heaven.

Today the faithful have the opportunity to gain a plenary indulgence with the Consecration of the Human Race to Jesus Christ, Sovereign King followed by the Litany of Christ the King and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament after Holy Mass.
Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Solemnity of the Sovereign Kingship of Jesus Christ
[ On this Double of the First Class Feast of the Sovereign Kingship of Jesus Christ (Christ the King Sunday), celebrated on the last Sunday of October (the Sunday before the Feast of All Saints) and initiated in 1925 by His Holiness Pius XI in his Encyclical Quas Primas, there follows after the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass a Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. ]

Novena to the Feast of Saint Raphael the Archangel

The Sovereign Pontiff, Pope Pius IX., by a rescript of the S. Congr. of Indulgences, Nov. 28, 1876, granted to all the faithful who, with contrite hearts, at any time during the year, devoutly make the novena in honor of S. Raphael the archangel, with any formula of prayer, provided it be approved by competent ecclesiastical authority, An Indulgence Of Three Hundred Days, once a day.

Glorious Archangel, Saint Raphael, great prince of the Heavenly Court, illustrious by thy gifts of wisdom and grace, guide of travelers by land and sea, consoler of the unfortunate and refuge of sinners, I entreat thee to help me in all my needs and in all the trials of this life, as thou didst once assist the young Tobias in his journeying. And since thou art the "physician of God," I humbly pray thee to heal my soul of its many infirmities and my body of the ills that afflict it, if this favor is for my greater good ( here our earnest prayer petition ) I ask, especially, for angelic purity, that I may be made fit to be the living temple of the Holy Ghost.
